Pest control jobs in Hampton Roads range from route-based technician work to project-based crawl space and structural repair, and Guardex hires for both because we do not subcontract the harder half of the trade. A technician who identifies a moisture problem on a pest route and a crew member who fixes that moisture problem two weeks later are both doing work that determines whether a warranty claim happens a year down the road.

Pest Control Technician

Residential and light commercial routes across the Southside or Peninsula. Virginia registered technician or commercial applicator certification, or willingness to certify within the first 90 days. Clean driving record required.

Termite / WDI Inspector

Full structural inspections, NPMA-33 report writing on real estate timelines, liquid barrier and bait system installation. Crawl space work is a daily part of this job, not an exception.

Crawl Space & Repair Crew

Encapsulation, vapor barrier, drainage, sump, dehumidification, and structural wood repair — sill plate, band joist, joist, and subfloor replacement. Carpentry experience valued over pest experience.

Customer Operations

Scheduling, routing, warranty administration, and coordination with agents and settlement companies on closing-driven inspections.

Transitioning military

Identification

Small black mosquito with a single white stripe down the back and banded legs. Bites during the day, close to the ground, and stays near where it hatched.

Why it is here

It breeds in artificial containers holding tiny volumes of water — gutters, tarps, plant saucers, tires, toys. Every residential yard in the region supplies them.
