The detail
What happens between the order and the report
Once we receive the address, closing date, and access instructions, the order is confirmed the same business day with an appointment window. On site, a licensed technician inspects the accessible foundation, crawl space, and visible framing for evidence of active or previous wood-destroying insect activity, prior treatment, and conducive conditions such as excess moisture, wood-to-ground contact, and grade above siding.
Every finding is photographed. If Section III of the report notes active activity, we quote the treatment in the same visit, so the report and the price arrive together instead of on separate timelines. That single change is usually what keeps atermite finding at closing from turning into a delay.
Facts and field notes
Order facts
- Confirmation
- Appointment window confirmed the same business day the order is received.
- Report format
- Standard NPMA-33 form accepted by VA, FHA, and conventional lenders.
- Detached structures
- Inspected for an add-on fee per structure on the same parcel.
- Treatment pricing
- Quoted in the same visit if active activity is found.
Before the inspection
Crawl space access should be unlocked and clear, utilities on, and pets secured. Any area the inspector cannot reach has to be recorded as inaccessible on the report, and inaccessible areas are what generate lender questions late in a deal.

Questions about ordering
As soon as the property is under contract or listed. Most inspections are scheduled within a few business days, but expedited windows fill quickly during peak closing season.
